Barbados newspaper, Nation News reports that after visiting her island of Barbados, Rihanna actually spotted the fake merchandise being sold and reported it to her Puma representative.

The representative flew into the island to investigate and made the police reports immediately.

“Brathwaite, 53, of 1st Avenue, Goddings Road, Station Hill, St Michael, appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty to the charge that in trade or in commerce as a supplier, on May 29, 2017, he falsely represented that 11 pairs of slippers and 13 T-shirts were of a particular standard, style or model, to wit, the brand Puma, contrary to the Consumer Protection Act Cap 326D.”

He has denied the claims of reselling the brand and his attorney stated “my client has never been contacted by the Fair Trading Commission and has never been served with a warning in accordance with the act.”

Brathwaite was released on a $1,000 bond and the case has been adjourned until November 28.

Rihanna is definitely in the season of maximizing her profits from Puma and Fenty Beauty that we’re sure it won’t hurt sales but will surely hurt the family relationship.
