Chipotle To Open a Burger Joint This Fall

Chipotle is taking it a step further and has decided to a different type of foodie by opening its first burger restaurant in Lancaster, Ohio called Tasty Made.

Chris Arnold, a spokesman from Chipotle stated in an email that the first Tasty Made burger restaurant will open in the fall offering burgers, fresh-cut fries, and milkshakes.

“Early fast food burger restaurants generally had focused menus,” CEO Steve Ells said in a statement. “We think there’s great strength in that original fast food model and wanted to create a restaurant built around that.”

Since its E. coli outbreak, Chipotle has still experienced sales and has been able to branch out to making with new concepts like their Pizzeria Locale (15 locations) and ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen (5 locations).

The popular chain restaurant is focusing on keeping their high quality ingredients for their new burger joint by using “Responsibly Raised® brand beef (from animals that are raised in more humane ways and without the use of antibiotics or added hormones), shakes made with real ingredients including milk, cream, sugar, eggs and other natural ingredients, and fresh made buns that are free of preservatives, dough conditioners and other artificial ingredients,” says Street Insider.

Chipotle is on a roll by keeping business booming by planning to add between 220 and 235 new Chipotles to add to their already existing 2,000 locations.

“Chipotle has been focused on a long-term vision to change the way people think about and eat fast food,” said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle.
