The Wopsters have officially changed the dynamic of a wedding and have shifted everyone’s wedding goals. Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir had everyone glued to their TV screens with their arms reached out blessing their union in all white while in attendance to The Mane Event.
The diamond studded event premiered on BET and required all guests, even those at home to wear all white.

According to Page Six, the bride even had the camera crew in white.
“All the women have to wear a gown, as if you are getting married. And the men have to wear white suits. Even my camera crew has to wear white. If you don’t come dressed accordingly you have to leave, and I am so serious. If you come wearing something else then you were not invited,” said the bride to be.
With over 200 guests and plenty of celebrities in attendance, Kaurreche Tran and Kendall Kyndall had the honor to host the lavish event.
Here’s what we loved about #TheManeEvent:
The Fashion Show Set-Up
With the guest sitting on the side with the runway in the middle gave a new perspective of how to set up a wedding. Keyshia already decided to change the dress code to wear all white so to see the set up being a fashion show wasn’t a surprise. The runway aesthetic gave a modern experience that we’re sure will be copied in the future.
The Diamond Studded Event
Spending $1.7 million on the 1017 wedding after Guwop gave her no limit, the detailing of the event was crazy. From her dress, her headpiece, to the bouquet, everything was exactly what Mrs. Davis explained it to be. She sparkled her way down the ‘Mane’ stage.
The Celebrity Attendees
The couple’s friends came up and showed out. Everyone from Big Sean, Rick Ross, Kim Zolciak, and Diddy were in the building for the wedding. There were some familiar faces like Trina and producer Zaytoven that were bridesmaids and groomsmen.
On the other side of Twitter, some fans felt the wedding didn’t live up to its extravagant expectations. Using the hashtags #TheManeEvent and #TheWopsters the at home guests voiced all of their opinions. Here’s what we could have done without:

Karrueche Tran and Kendall Kyndall were the emcees for the night and it was rather awkward. The two didn’t vibe and seemed like they were rookies to hosting. They didn’t flow on the same wave as naturally hosts should. Viewers on Twitter definitely gave their opinion on the two calling them out. This event was huge simply because the biggest trap artist of the millennial generation was getting married and that deserved some experienced hosts.

The wedding was beautiful but the BET production could have had better delivery. The interviews were dry and people were cut off. Some of the interviewees were Lil Yachty, 2Chainz, and Gucci’s artist Ralo. During the interviews there wasn’t any music to push the mood of the event so it just seemed forced. You could also tell that the hosts were looking up at the teleprompter and people for sure noticed. Some viewers were over it completely in how the network handled the dynamic event.
“BET is not allowed to host anyone else’s wedding okay?” said a Twitter user.

Following The Mane Event, the couple will have a series showing everything that led to the big day every Tuesday on BET. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wopster or Mr. and Mrs. Davis. Hopefully this couple will inspire more of the trap to get married.
What did you really think of the wedding?
